Realistic Modeling of Spider Webs

We present a system that creates models of spider webs by faithfully simulating their construction. We follow the specific procedures and subsequent phases of the construction, taking into account the natural constraints of the environment. The resulting geometries compare favorably to real-life webs. The rendered models provide insight into the typically complex structures and are visually pleasing.
